Known for caring and competent services, Artemizia “Zia” Walker-Chinoy has been chief dog whisperer with Walker's Walks & Pet Care in Berkeley, California, for more than a decade. She takes canines on fun-filled solo and group excursions and provides pet sitting engagements for out-of-town pet parents. Experienced in behavioral training, Artemizia Walker-Chinoy works to teach proper leash manners, and she excels in her handling of difficult pets. Communicating promptly with clients, she keeps them informed on the daily progress of dogs of diverse breeds, temperaments, and sizes.
Zia Walker-Chinoy’s background extends to a past position as receptionist at Soul Cycle. Her responsibilities at the fitness club included preparing equipment for clients and checking them in. She has also been an animal care assistant with Mud Puppies in Richmond and an assistant with the Milo Foundation. In the latter capacity, Ms. Walker-Chinoy took on abused and abandoned dogs, delivering exercise, socialization, and basic training that enabled friendly and safe interactions with people. This ultimately led to adoption by loving San Francisco Bay Area families for many canines in her care.
Artemizia Walker-Chinoy has a passion for yoga and fitness, and is interested in sustainability and a vegan lifestyle. She has traveled extensively across the United States and to international locales.
